The Langkawi Endurance Team was established in 2006, and started competing locally in Malaysia beginning 2008. By 2009 we had begun competing internationally. Our ultimate goal is to partner our purebred Malaysian-Arabians horses in world-class endurance competitions.
Being in the tropics means we are exposed to extreme temperatures and high levels of humidity. As such, our training occurs mostly in the late afternoons till night – which are also when most of the endurance tournaments take place.
We are extremely fortunate to be able to compete in T.I.E.P. (Terengganu International Endurance Park) in Malaysia, which is rated as amongst the best tracks in the world. The W.E.C. (World Endurance Championships) was held on this track in 2008.
